DR. KIT WU
Hi! I'm Dr Kit Wu, a Medical Doctor with more than 15 years working experience in the NHS. I co-founded UK Chinese Medical Services in 2017 with an ambition to bring the best healthcare closer to the Chinese community. Our team of specialists are ready to offer you a comprehensive range of medical services.
DR. COPE Wang
Dr Cope (nee Wang) qualified in 2009 from Cambridge University Medical School, and has worked in various fields including Breast Surgery, Intensive Care and Haematology, before specialising in Pathology. Her work includes Histopathology, Cytology and Autopsy, and have acquired the Certificate for Higher Autopsy Training from the Royal College of Pathologist in 2017. She is currently studying for a PhD at University of Cambridge.
DR. RUTH AKIYO
Dr. Ruth Akiyo Mizoguchi is a geriatric consultant and trust dementia lead at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. She has been working as a clinician at the Chinese National Healthy Living Centre since 2010 and is also a member of the Dementia Steering group at the centre.
Ruth is Japanese but born and brought up in Hong Kong. She obtained a medical degree in Tokai University School of Medicine, Japan and then completed further medical training at Imperial College, London before embarking on her post graduate training in the North West Thames Region. During this period, Ruth spent a year of her training in Hong Kong and it is during this time she developed a special interest in dementia. She also gained research experience in Neuroimaging & Dementia at Imperial College. Ruth has worked at various memory clinics in London and also set up the memory clinic at the Royal Free Hospital.
DR. LOUCAS CHRISTODOULOU
Dr Loucas Christodoulou is a consultant in Paediatrics at Imperial college healthcare NHS trust.
He graduated from Semmelweis University Medical School, Hungary, with honour cum laude through a fully funded scholarship. He worked for a year in Cyprus before embarking on a specialist career in Paediatrics in the UK. Through his training, He has worked with world-leading experts in major teaching hospitals in London including Great Ormond Street, University College London, Chelsea and Westminster, Hillingdon and North Middlesex NHS Trust Hospitals.
Dr Christodoulou has a specialist interest in Paediatric Neurology, neurodisability and neurorehabilitation, and has undergone further training in this area at world famous Great Ormond street Hospital for Children.
As an honorary senior clinical lecturer at Imperial College London, he is passionate about medical education and research. Apart from daily in-hospital teaching duties, he regularly teaches on external Advanced Paediatric life support (APLS) and Member of the Royal College of Paediatric and Child Health (MRCPCH) courses. He has published topical research findings in national and international peer reviewed journals.
He joined UK Chinese Medical Service in 2017 as our expert in Paediatrics.
Loucas Christodoulou 医生是小儿科专家，在英国伦敦帝国理工医疗组织的St Mary's Hospital 担任儿科顾问医生。Loucas医生在匈牙利Semmelweis 医学院大学是全程领奖学金的荣誉毕业生。在欧洲塞浦路斯实习了一年内外全科后，被英国伦敦医院的儿科医生培训计划成功取录为专科培训医生。其后，他在伦敦的各个著名的教学医院进行小儿全内科专科培训，其中包括Great Ormond Street, Chelsea & Westminster, St Mary's 医院工作。作为伦敦帝国理工学院的荣誉资深临床讲师，他热爱医学教育和研究。除了日常的院内教学任务外，他还定期参加外部的先进儿科心肺复苏术课程 （APLS）和英国皇家儿童内科培训 （MRCPCH）课程的教育。他也定时在国际性的医学期刊上发表了专题研究结果。
DR. ZHONG CHEN
Dr Zhong Chen is a Consultant Cardiologist at Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest specialist cardiac units in the World. He is an expert in managing patients with a range of cardiac conditions and has a special interest in heart rhythm disturbances.Dr Chen graduated from University College London Medical School in 2001 with an additional First Class Honours BSc degree. He undertook his cardiology specialist training at various prestigious hospitals in London, including a specialist fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac devices at St George’s Hospital, Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital and Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital where he has worked with world renowned experts.
Pursuing his research interests in the pioneering clinical role of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging to optimise outcomes in the treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias, he was awarded a PhD research degree in cardiovascular medicine by King’s College London, with his work published in major international journals and presented at conferences throughout the world.
Dr Chen joined the UK Chinese Medical Services as a specialist in 2017.
陈中医生是心脏科专家，现为世界上最大的心脏专科医院Royal Brompton＆Harefield 和 Ashford＆St Peter NHS 医院担任心脏病全科顾问医生。
陈医生于2001年毕业于伦敦大学医学院，另额外获得一等荣誉学士学位。其后，他在伦敦的各医院进行了心脏病专科培训，其中包括在St Georges 医院获得心脏电生理学和心脏设备专家培训，也在Guy's＆St Thomas和Royal Brompton＆Harefield等医院工作，并与世界知名专家合作。
DR. Wallace Tan
Dr Wallace Keh Heong Tan has worked in Croydon University Hospital as a consultant in geriatrics Medicine since 2011. He obtained the Fellowship in Royal College of Physician, London in 2016. He qualified from St. George’s University, London in 2000, and obtained a master degree with Merit in Gerontology from Kings College University, London in 2010. Within the world of geriatrics medicine he has a special interest in falls and bone health and is also heavily involved in patient safety in the hospital environment. In his day work he runs the Integrated Falls Service in Croydon within both the hospital and local community, and is part of the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) lead steering group of Falls service development. He also is a consultant in the Acute Care of the Elderly service in the hospital.
Dr Tan joined the UK Chinese Medical Services, devoting his time outside work in helping Chinese-speaking patients who have difficulties in access of the medical service.
DR. Mo Wang
Dr Mo Wang is a fully-qualified General Practitioner (GP) with a wide range of experience working in different primary care settings such as GP surgeries, walk-in centres, out of hours service, and hospital urgent care centres in East Anglia and London. She graduated from University College London Medical School in 2009 with both a Medical and an Intercalated Neuroscience Degree. She successfully obtained Royal College of General Practice Membership in 2014. Dr Wang developed a special interest in Women’s Health and has furthered her skills by obtaining a diploma in Women’s Health from Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2015. She is fluent in Mandarin and combines her linguistic skill with her clinical background as a freelance Mandarin Medical Interpreter for Chinese patients attending GP surgeries and hospital clinics whilst in training.
王茉全科医生，2009年伦敦大学医学院(UCL Medical School)西医兼神经科学本科毕业，2014年获得英国皇家全科学院注册医师，2015年成功得到英国皇家妇产科文凭。 王医生有丰富的全科临床经验，曾在国家保健服务的诊所，walk in centre , out of hours 及医院的Urgent care centres任全科医师至今。工作地点包括诺福克(Norfolk)，剑桥(Cambridge)，伦敦，伊普斯维奇(Ipswich),工作范围包括日常门诊，急诊门诊，本科医学生带教及门诊手术。王医生在大学期间曾为求医的华人病人做中文翻译。
DR. Ping Fung
Dr Fung works as a General Practitioner in London. She graduated from Imperial College Medical School in 2008, together with a BSc in Immunobiology and Pathology. She went on to complete her Core Medical Training in Devon, obtaining her MRCP in 2012. She then embarked upon GP training in South London and obtained her MRCGP in 2016. Her interests include Elderly/Palliative care and she has looked after a local nursing home as part of her GP work.
